The German Anti-Aircraft Gun: 7,7-cm L/35 (franz 97) Wagenflak Rheinmetall M1915

One of the two German anti-aircraft guns which made up the Wagenflak Battery, destined for Palestine in 1917. It was captured by Australian troops at the end of 1918. It is one of the most rare and scarce anti-aircraft systems in the German arsenal: the French 75-mm L/35 Field Gun Schneider Mle. 1897, transformed in 1915 by Rheinmetall into a Flak gun on a pedestal. This whole set was mounted on a four-wheel wagon.

This system was named: 7.7-cm L/35 (franz 97) Wagenflak Rheinmetall M1915.

Uno de los dos cañones antiaéreos alemanes que componían la Batería Wagenflak, destinada a Palestina en 1917. Fue capturado por las tropas australianas a finales de 1918. Se trata de uno de los sistemas antiaéreos más raro y escaso del arsenal alemán: el cañón de campaña francés de 75-mm Schneider L/35 Mle. 1897, transformado en 1915 por Rheinmetall en un cañón Flak sobre pedestal. Todo este conjunto fue montado sobre un carro de cuatro ruedas. Este sistema se denominó: 7,7-cm L/35 (franz 97) Wagenflak Rheinmetall M1915.

A 75-mm Belgian Anti-Aircraft Battery, equipped with impressive rotating mounts.

Note the second A-A gun that completes the Battery, to the right of the platform of the first gun, under these lines and on the stabilizing sandbags of the assembly. Similar gun carriages to these impressive and voluminous anti-aircraft mounts were made by the armies of France, Germany, Austria-Hungary, Russia, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Switzerland, etc. Especially during the years 1915 and 1916.

The guns are a variant of the 75-mm T.R. (Quick-Firing) Cockerill-Krupp Mle 1905: the 75 Rr gun lightened.

Obsérvese el segundo cañón que completa la Batería, a la derecha de la plataforma del primer cañón, bajo estas líneas y sobre los sacos de asentamiento del afuste. Similares afustes a estos impresionantes y voluminosos montajes antiaéreos, fueron realizados por los ejércitos de Francia, Alemania, Austro-Hungría, Rusia, Italia, Rumanía, Bulgaria, Suiza, etc. Especialmente durante los años 1915 y 1916. Los cañones son una variante del 75-mm T.R. (Tiro Rápido) Cockerill-Krupp Mle 1905: el cañón de 75 Rr aligerado.
